When I was passing by a temple, I saw these words written at the entrance to the grounds:

"Become a person who is useful to others."

I thought these were wonderful words and keeping that mindset likely makes it easier to unlock one's own latent potential.

I had a different perspective on this word beyond its superficial meaning, so I wanted to share it with you.

That perspective is that everyone is born already possessing the charm and talent to be of service to others.

It means, Everyone has a unique soul's mission in this lifetime.

The question is whether or not one is fully unleashing that potential.

Most people tend to ignore the voice of the soul—that is, the sublime guidance from higher-dimensional beings—and instead spend their entire lives driven by selfish desires.

This is because we are born with an ego that harbors thoughts like "I want that" or "I want to be this way."

However, from the perspective of the sublime Being that manifests all things, each individual has been bestowed with a divine mission—a role suited to purifying the latent impressions (specifically, the latent impressions of worldly desires carried over from past lives) that led to their birth in this world.

Thus, the mysterious Being that created you desires for you to fulfill this duty—your divine mission—rather than acting out of selfish desire.

(To delve deeper, the reason everyone is born into this world with an ego is, in part, to fulfill the ultimate duty of human existence: remembering one's true source.)

In other words, even if an action appears helpful to others on the surface, if it is driven by inner selfishness and a strong craving for rewards or specific outcomes, it runs counter to the sublime flow of the universe; consequently, far from fulfilling your divine mission, you end up accumulating within yourself a vast amount of invisible "sin"—in the form of latent karmic impressions born of worldly attachments.

So, what should we do?

Perhaps some people think that letting go of the ego means ceasing to be themselves.

Actually, it's the other way around.

It is precisely by gradually weakening the selfish desires driven by the ego that you become able to fulfill the true purpose for which you were born into this world.

It means that even without intending to "Become a person who is useful to others." you are already a valuable person who is useful to others, and that your charm and talent will continue to reach the places where they are truly meant to be, and when they are needed.

In other words, it means becoming one with the sublime flow of the universe.

The flow of the universe transcends human understanding.

And within that sublime flow, each human being, born and living in this impermanent material world, possesses their own inherent potential and unique charm.

It is a waste not to utilize these gifts, or to hold back from fully expressing them.

Moreover, using them for the sake of selfish desire disrupts the harmony of the universe.

Since you will eventually have to face the consequences of such actions, the key is not to live in a way that accumulates further latent karmic impressions of worldly attachments, but rather to purify those impressions and live as your true self.

In your daily life, regarding every event that occurs, you need only focus wholeheartedly on what you must do in the present moment—without fixating on the outcome—and offer the very act itself to the higher-dimensional being that created you.

By doing so, the latent impressions of worldly attachments will be purified, and you will fulfill the karma for which you were born into this life; gradually, you will come to realize your true nature, which had previously been obscured by those attachments.

It means that you are bliss itself, born from the supreme being, a transcendent abundance of pure consciousness.

In other words, everything necessary for your life in this world is destined to be fulfilled within the sublime flow of the universe—and, indeed, is already being fulfilled.

It is important to realize that, regardless of whether your current reality, as perceived through your five senses, is fulfilling or not, the source that creates and sustains you is the universal abundance itself, which transcends even the most abundant space and time, and that you are the same.

Therefore, all you need to do is fully express the innate charm and talents you were born with, the knowledge and skills you have cultivated in this lifetime, and the sensibilities carried over from past lives; focus on the actions you are meant to take right now; surrender yourself to sublime guidance; and offer up the results completely.

I imagine the meaning of the words I shared at the beginning—"Become a person who is useful to others."—has now become clearer to you on a deeper level.

You are already, at the level of vibration, of service to someone somewhere in the world.

Whatever act of goodness you perform benefits all of existence.

Because you are the embodiment of the Supreme Being, born from pure bliss.

All that remains is for you to realize this.

Even if you live your life driven by selfish desires, you can still reach the end of your life.

However, pleasure derived from selfish desires has its limits, is impermanent, and will also result in receiving a vast seed of karma in the form of latent negative impressions, so I do not recommend it.

You have a specific purpose in having been born as a human being, rather than as another animal or plant.

There are things that only humans can do.

And there are things that only you can do in your own life.

There are those who are truly waiting for the charm and talents that only you can bring forth.

It is not limited to people alone; all of creation awaits the radiant wisdom and allure that emanate from you.

That is precisely why you are alive right now, sustained within the sublime flow of the universe.
