Just as the wind arises from space and vanishes into space, all that truly exists is nothing more than a fleeting phenomenon.
Whatever it may be—be it a thing or an event—it arises, changes, and perishes; it is merely transient.
Nothing lasts forever.
Everything is in constant flux.
Even if something appears to be there forever, even if it seems like it will continue indefinitely, that is not the way the universe works.
In other words, tangible, visible things are not where true refuge lies.
That which remains constant amidst the flow—*that* is the true self; *that* is your essence.
External things are constantly changing.
Amidst this change, whether or not one can perceive the unchanging truth depends on each individual soul.
All things arise from space and eventually perish into space.
What can we do in this life, which is a part of the flow of the universe?
You must have already sensed and perceived it.
